In February 2008, Mark Ayling of Complete Coffee Ltd and Nicolas Rueda, European Director of FNC, accompanied Liz Perry, Gennaro Pelliccia, Giorgio Fioravanti and Neil Cox of Costa Limited (Costa), to Colombia to visit Anatolí School in La Mesa, Cundinamarca.
In 2007, the Costa Foundation, with local support from the FNC, was the major sponsor of Anatolí School, which was completely rebuilt and refurbished with facilities including a new kitchen and toilets, school materials and computers. In addition, a new playground was recently built as a result of a previous visit to the school by a team from Costa, who were able to see for themselves the real need for play facilities alongside the school and provided the necessary funding for this to be built.

A Nutritional Programme has been set up to teach the children about food and health – this programme is directly sponsored by Complete Coffee Ltd.
The trip was a huge success and the people of La Mesa showed their appreciation by taking the group on a tour around the new school and grounds. Both Costa and Complete Coffee were presented with a gift from the community (see photo). |
